On December 5, 2023 Union Square Advisors announced it has served as exclusive financial advisor to Synamedia, a Permira portfolio company, in its $460 million financing and investment led by Adams Street Partners, NorthWall Capital, and PNC Bank. Proceeds from the transaction will be used to refinance Synamedia’s existing debt, enhance the company’s liquidity position, and advance Synamedia’s mission to provide the leading technology and related services that enable all content providers, telcos, and consumer platforms to shape the future.
This transaction illustrates the continuation of a notable trend of companies electing to refinance their broadly syndicated debt in the private credit market.
